i hope you were lucky enough to enjoy this beautiful weather we had today...we did...and it ended up being such a wonderful day! mr.z took me out to lunch and then a beautiful drive to Volcano, CA. where you will find one of my favorite places to visit...Daffodil Hill. it is so beautiful right now, i highly recommend taking the trip up there {it is only open a short time and the weather helps dictate that time frame}
just 10 days ago i was lucky enough to partake in the Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans with my best friends...so in honor of the big easy and fat tuesday, i thought today would be a great day to share our adventure {in a nut shell of course, i took way to many pics...but how can you not? NOLA is gorgeous}
as you can see, we had a blast and did as much as we could do in 4 days and 4 nights...rum tour, mardi gras world, ghost walk of french quarters, swamp boat ride, parades, theme nights out on Bourbon Street, architecture, culture, history, great food and BEADS and we got a lot of beads!!!!
oooooo i am so excited....we are on our way to the big easy for a pre-mardi gras celebration, with parades, rum tours, a swamp tour and boat ride, a haunted ghost tour {yep, amanda will have her ghost hunting gear...emf}, history, culture, great music, fabulous food and tons of beads!!!!!
mr.z and i spend our birthdays at Dillon Beach this last weekend with our 2 brown dogs and camper! it was agreed that it was the greatest birthday weekend together {thus far}. our camp site was stellar, the weather was beyond amazing, sunny the whole time and that sun felt so amazing on your skin {sunday was windy, but we hung out in the camper playing card games and watching movies} i went for a jog on the beach monday morning with my dogs, mr.z found an amazing rock course for his new Christmas toy {remote controller rock crawler} the dogs had a blast, we roasted marshmallows and i could go on and on...but i will just share some photos!
we are off...have a great {long} weekend!
we are off, this time for a fabulous celebration and road trip! this christmas my mom turns fifty, so my brother and i are treating her to a week in sunny San Diego and a birthday hot air balloon ride {something she has always wanted to do} so like the olden day my mom brother and i are loading up the car and hitting the road...see you soon!
we are on our way down to sunny so. cal. for the weekend!!! mr.z's sister and brother in law have bought a cigar shop in New Port Beach and we are going down for the grand opening party!! i am so excited and proud of them! have a great weekend.

we are off again for a weekend of water this time to lake shasta with mr.z brother and sister and a giant house boat!! have a great weekend.
we are off...and on our way to the beautiful Colorado. this will be mr.z and my first time a} driving to CO. b} driving for 14 hours strait and c} floating down the Colorado River as we camp along the way...but lucky for us we will have 2 pros with us the whole time!! we are so excited...be back soon!
