scrapbooking made fresh

Happy Fall Y'all!

With the weather finally turning a little cooler I am starting to feel like it's almost Fall around here!  And Fall to me brings warm colors, cool nights, hot cider and fresh apple and pumpkin desserts...yay!  This week I'd like you to create a layout or a card using your favorite Fall colors.  

For my card I chose this fun subway art.  I just love the fun colors.  I added some leaf shaped rivets and some funky yarn. You can create up to three entries for this week's drawing of $5.  You just need to email your creations to me to [email protected] by Monday at 6pm.  Be sure your creation has your favorite Fall colors, a metal element and some yarn, ribbon or string.

Congrats to our friend Mary Cundiff for winning the last challenge.  She said she "loved, loved, loved" the sketch and created a couple of layouts with it.  So happy that she was inspired and hope that you will find some inspiration this week too.  Check out one of Mary's layouts on our facebook page.

Classes this week...

we have a spooky class for you just in time for Halloween...

Cricut Halloween is this Monday (tomorrow) from 6:30pm - 8:30pm and is $24.00 you will need to bring your cricut machine and the happy hauntings cartridge to create two fun and festive DPLOs.  give us a call if you would like a spot 916.771.8010

Keep Calm and Sketch On

Hello!  I'd like to thank Heidi Ungureanu for playing in this last week's challenge.  She is the winner of $5.  If you choose to play along this week you could be randomly chosen to win $5 of your own to spend in the store.

This week I've been really busy playing over-achiever mom.  When that happens, I don't get much scrapbooking done, but I did manage to pick out some pictures and some papers to get started and then stumbled upon this fun sketch by Rebecca Ludens and thought it would be perfect. Hopefully this week you will find some time to work on a card or a layout based on this sketch.

You can earn up to three entries to the drawing this week.  Just send your creations to me to [email protected] by 6pm Monday.  Remember, you can turn the sketch to the side or upside down to make different layouts for different entries.  I can't wait to see what you come up with for this week.

cricut club is this Wednesday and Thursday!!!!!! this is the last meeting for 2012...hope to see you there!

card club is this Friday! you will make 8 beautiful yet masculine cards using the new Echo Park "For the Record 2" line.  there are two different class times to choose from; 10:00am - noon or 6:30pm - 8:30pm and it is only $15.00

 and Saturday we have the Cricut Disney Cars event!!! over the course of the day you can complete five different carsland themed DPLOs.  you can sign up for one or all five...it is up to you!!! the cost is $15.00 per session and the sessions are scheduled like so;

mater tractor tippin': 10am - noon

sarge and filmore 12:30pm - 2:30pm

lightning and hudson hornet 3pm - 5pm

guido and luigi 6pm - 8pm

radiator springs gang (above) 8:30pm - 10:30pm

Fall Retreat 2012
